Rose-Hip Vital® Canine is a 100% natural joint treatment and nutritional supplement that may be of benefit for improving the joint health and general well-being of active and ageing dogs. It’s also a powerful antioxidant, a rich source of vitamin C, and is safe, scientifically proven and registered by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority.
Rose-Hip Vital® Canine is a plant-based anti-inflammatory and immune system support for your dog’s joint health and general wellbeing. Made from rosehips manufactured with patented processes, Rose-Hip Vital® Canine is scientifically and clinically proven to reduce inflammation, protect cartilage, improve general health and improve performance.
Patented extraction and drying processes isolate and activate the compound GOPO® which has scientifically proven anti-inflammatory and antioxidative properties. GOPO® works by stopping excess white blood cells from gathering around inflamed tissue, thereby helping to break the cycle of inflammation and protect cartilage. Rosehip products that do not contain GOPO® have not been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties.
Rose-Hip Vital® Canine is used for:
|Body weight (kg)||Loading daily dose (3 weeks)||Maintenance daily dose||First bottle (days)||Maintenance (days)|
|Up to 15 kg||2 scoops||1 scoop||39||60|
|15 – 30 kg||4 scoops||2 scoops||15||30|
|Over 30 kg||6 scoops||3 scoops||10||20|
Directions for use:
Mix with food once or twice daily. Do not mix with hot food or liquid.
Results are typically noticed after three weeks.
Please note – first bottle is calculated at 3 weeks loading dose followed by maintenance dose ongoing.
Should your dog suffer from chronic inflammation it is safe to administer the loading dose ongoing. If you are using Rose-Hip Vital® Canine as a preventative there is no need to administer the loading dose.
For dogs weighing less than 7.5kg
Technically you could halve the dose for dogs up to 7.5kg and expect the same results. The recommendation would be to administer the full loading dose until results are noticed and then slowly reduce the dose until a balance between cost and effectiveness can be achieved.
NOTE: The more Rose-Hip Vital® Canine your dog takes, the more effective it will be. While it isn’t possible for your dog to overdose on Rose-Hip Vital® Canine, if your dog has a low tolerance for vitamin C any excess will be excreted. The appropriate dose might also depend on whether Rose-Hip Vital® Canine is being used as a treatment or for prevention.
